As you review your membership, please consider the following.
1. All attendees at your district and state conferences must be members of DECA prior to participating in the conference.
2. All attendees of the International CDC must be paid members by March 1.
3. All attendees of Mississippi CDC must be paid members by February 1.
4. All attendees of regional conferences, New York Experience and the Sports and Entertainment Conference must be paid members. Go to DECA.org for details of these conferences
5. Check your participants in the new Principles events as only first-year DECA members can compete in these events.
6. All scholarship applicants for National DECA must be paid members by March 1.
7. All scholarship applicants for Mississippi DECA must be paid members by February 1

We cannot control the date of the International Career Development Conference, but with proper planning, you should be able to work this out with your district.

The only exception is if a school states that NO student or advisor can stay overnight for a conference. This must be on school letterhead, signed by the director or principal of the school and verified by MDE.
All registration and hotel fees MUST take place through the person designated to register MS DECA for the International Career Development Conference. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
